about me
quirky. inventive. ambitious.
Lauren Olivia Dodds is a 22-year old Boston-based performer & creator for the stage & screen.

It is no surprise that she ended up in the theatre...with her namesakes being Lauren Bacall and Olivia de Havilland, her parents falling in love in New York and subsequently getting engaged at an off-Broadway show, it was fate. However, it wasn't until playing Jojo in Seussical Jr. at the age of eight that she fell in love with performing.

After beginning her formal training at the ripe age of ten, she spent a decade honing her skills before pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Emerson College and graduating summa cum laude. During her time there, she discovered many other passions - in addition to her major, she minored in Marketing Communications and found her way into different worlds of direction and design. If you couldn't tell from her Instagram feed, her outfits, or this website, she has a keen eye for color and aesthetics.

She plans on making the move to New York City in the fall of 2023!
Though she's always known that she belongs in The Big Apple, she's a Houstonian at heart
(go 'Stros)! She began her training in her hometown of Houston, TX at 10 years old, making her professional debut at 11.

She began her training journey at The
Humphrey's Academy at Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), where she garnered several regional credits in her early years. To this day, she credits her time at TUTS for her work ethic, dedication & professionalism, both on and offstage.
